My greatest joy lies in my curiosity in integrating what belongs to Pluto's underground kingdom with my everyday life. Being in touch with metals, raw minerals and precious stones takes me back to the days when I was a little girl. I am constantly amazed by the reality of rubies, emeralds, topazes and diamonds described in the adventures of Sinbad. All these do not only nourish me but also strengthen my bond with life. I am telling a very long story and each piece of jewelry that I create represents a loop in this never-ending affair.

1996-2003 several trainings with master goldsmiths

2003-2005 Scuola d'Arte e Mestieri di Vicenza, Italy. Jewelry design, gemololy and stone-setting programs.

2005-2007 assistant goldsmith and tutoring a Jewelry Rendering course. First solo exhibition.

2008 founded her atelier in Istanbul. Designing goldsmith and tutor of Jewelry Techniques&Design course for adults. 

2018 founding member of JEWELRY LINKS Turkish Contemporary Jewelry Collective

Since 2019, Şenay Akın continues to create and teach in her atelier, now based in Yalova.
