While Şenay Akın has long been creating concept-led design works for the museum shops of such establishments as IKSV Design, Istanbul Modern and CER Modern Ankara, she initiated a similar form of collaboration with the Sakıp Sabancı Museum in 2013.

 

This partneship, which beared its first fruits at the time of the Anish Kapoor exhibition, continued with the “Juan Miro - Kadınlar, Kuşlar, Yıldızlar” (Juan Miro – Women, Birds, Stars) exhibition in 2014 and will carry on with the ZERO exhibition in 2015.

 

Mini collections designed by Şenay Akın are offered on sale throughout the shows at the museum shop. These collections both make references to the works exhibited, and reflect the inspiration which the designer finds in them.
